I finished my First Johanna Basford Page

I finished my First Johanna Basford Page

I finished the Moth/Butterfly (?) Page from Johanna Basfords Inky Wonderlands and I love the Outcome. I coloured it using soft pastels for the Background, my Polychromos for the foreground, an acrylic and Gel Paint pen and rich pale gold, which is a Bronze Pigment you Mix with water to create a gold colour.

First Johanna Basford Page: Progress

there is a medium called rich gold pigment which is actually Just powderized bronze pigment and a Binder, you have to mix it with water and then it is a very finnicky but beautiful golden Paint. yeah I tried that in Johanna Basfords Inky Wonderlands and it works really well, it is just on itself very hard to control which Made laying down a thin line almost impossible. But for whomever has this Just randomly in their stash: yeah you can use that for golden Details, it works.

Tried Something new

Page is from Johanna Basfords Inky Wonderlands. I tried a Background with soft pastels. I have not been using this Material for at least a year or two so I am not completely happy with this but I enjoy the colours.

Artist tries coloring

I have been doing Art as a Hobby and semi Professional for years now and recently discovered colouring as a Hobby and a way to Help me get through my Art Block. I really enjoy looking at all the beautiful Pages that yall colour so I thought I would Post a WIP of Mine. I use what I already have for colouring, so in my case some Markers and mostly coloured pencils. I got myself some colouring books with a bit better Paper, so once those arrive, I look Forward to working with watercolour. Anyways I hope yall enjoy my WIP.
