Their original developer (Pandemic / Naughty Dog) shut down/sold the rights to the franchise

DAH 1 and 2 / Crash 1, 2, and 3 are beloved classics

Big Willy Unleashed and Path of the Furon / Titans and Mind Over Mutant didn't do so well. 2008 was the final nail in the coffin for both franchises

Both franchises made a comback in late 2010's / early 2020's with the N Sane Trilogy / DAH 1 Remake

Crash 4 It's About Time / DAH 2 Remake got critqued for Dark Souls difficulty / glitches

Crash Rumble / DAH Clone Carnage are massive flops at attempting a multiplayer game

As of right now, Activision and THQ Nordic pulled the plug on the furon 👽 and bandicoot 🦊, and went back to milking Call of Duty and Spongebob
