I started doing cardio years ago with a cheap elliptical trainer. After a year or so of using it I started running and gave it to a friend hoping to help him get in better shape, but now, due to a lack of motivation caused by various life issues I'm considering getting a new elliptical trainer device to make it easier to maintain my current fitness level.
So, as I asked in the title, does a device exist that can sync up with a Garmin watch during activities?
If not, is there at least a device that can export exercise data correctly to Garmin connect so that the "Garmin agent" takes the elliptical exercise correctly into account when giving training suggestions? It would be great if it could count revolutions as steps, but I'll survive even if it doesn't do that.
I've seen various ellipticals advertising Kinomap support, but I don't know what that is or if it's "cross-compatible" with Garmin Connect. I have a strava account connected to my Garmin account with all my activities showing up there as well, but at the moment I mostly use my Garmin Connect account and while I would rather keep it that way, if it isn't possible with Garmin Connect, I'd settle for good Strava integration.
