Is it wise to transfer my REITs to S&P500?
Helooo, I’d like to ask for advice regarding my current portfolio allocation.
Current holdings:
BTC – ₱10,600 (waiting for entry)
ETFs – ₱17,000 (ATRAM tech and VOO)
MP2 – ₱33,700
Emergency Fund – ₱21,000
REITs – ₱17,330 (C.A.R.M reit)
₱200 bills savings – ₱4,200
Total: ₱103,830
I’m thinking if it makes sense to move my REIT holdings into an S&P 500 ETF instead.
Reason is medyo maliit pa capital ko sa REITs, and di ko ramdam masyado ang dividends and honestly nababagalan ako. Parang mas noticeable pa yata long-term growth potential if I just add it to S&P500 instead of waiting for small dividend payouts. I already have a good portion of my portfolio in conservative investments like MP2 and my emergency fund, which together make up about 53% of my total portfolio.
For context:
•Long-term
•Okay with volatility
•Still building capital gradually through DCA
•Goal is growth more than passive income right now since bata pa ako (20y.o)
Would it be wiser to keep the REITs for diversification and dividends, or transfer them to S&P500 and unting portion sa QQQM while my capital is still relatively small?
Would appreciate honest opinions, especially from those who went through the same decision. Thanks!
