Confused about the admission/financial proof process for non-EU students at ULiège – could anyone help?
Hi everyone,
My fiancée recently applied for a master’s program at the University of Liège as a non-EU student, and we are a bit confused about the financial proof / blocked account process.
At first, we uploaded the wrong financial document because we thought the blocked account step would happen after admission. Later, the university asked us to provide proof of financial resources through a blocked account solution.
From what we understand now:
- ULiège only opens its own blocked account after admission
- During the admission phase, non-EU students seem to need a solution through Studely or Ready Study Go
We started looking into Studely, but then saw that they ask for a “certificate of admission,” which confused us even more because we thought we needed the blocked account/proof of funds in order to obtain admission in the first place.
Has anyone here gone through this process recently as a non-EU student?
Especially with:
- Studely
- blocked accounts
- ULiège admission requirements
A few questions we still have:
- At what point do you actually transfer the full amount?
- If admission or visa is refused, how does the refund process work?
- Is Studely generally considered reliable?
Would really appreciate hearing from anyone with personal experience because the process is quite stressful and a bit unclear from the outside 😅
Thanks a lot in advance!
