IUGR at 25weeks

I’m currently 25 weeks with a little girl and this is my second baby (first one was completely healthy, no issues at all). We had our anatomy scan 4 weeks ago and were scared with a thought of a VSD which came back totally fine. She was measuring good and only wasn’t able to get face measurements. We had a follow up anatomy scan yesterday where they saw she was small, measuring at 23 weeks. Head and chest around 14-15 percentile but her legs were <1% bringing the whole thing down to her being in the 2nd percentile. They sent us to a genetic counselor and went over various options and tests we can do. My husband and I are not short, he’s 6’5” and I’m 5’10”. We are now having to do weekly scans now to see how she grows.

I am perplexed as to how within a month this is suddenly an issue, and to the gravity of being asked what we’ll do if she has a low quality of life expectancy.

I have hypothyroidism, I have been treated for it for almost 10 years now. Last month my TSH levels were on the higher side (5.something) so they bumped my dose from 125 to 150. My levels have now swung in the other direction (0.67). I’m worried the change in my meds has stunted her growth.

Has anyone had a similar experience or have any stories of how their baby with short femurs turned out?
