Odd sequence of events on my etsy account
Hello! I was getting ready to go to bed when I saw I had 5 emails from Etsy. First this email about my mastercard, then one unauthorized purchase of $148.73, two messages from sellers I’ve never seen before, and then finally the permanent suspension of my account all within a 2 minute time span.
I called my bank about the fraud and filed an appeal to get my etsy account back but I’m really confused about this email. In the five or so years I’ve had an etsy account, I’ve never gotten an email about them updating my card numbers automatically. I’ve only had this card for a month too and this didn’t happen when I previously lost my wallet around October and had to get a new card. This all reads as really suspicious, but I’ve yet to see anyone else raising any concern about this. Am I overreacting or is this normal procedure and the timing was just reaaaally bad? Some insight would really be helpful!
