Mechanics from previous GTA games I’d like to see carried forward into GTA VI
GTA III
Vehicle Sub-Missions (paramedic, firefighter, vigilante, taxi)
Off-Road challenges
Import/Export vehicle lists
Hitman style missions
GTA VC
Asset management (buying and managing properties for income, but with more involvement such as missions that randomly pop up for them, kinda like the ones in GTA V)
Racing (stadium and closed circuit races were awesome plus the demolition derbies)
GTA SA
Dual wield weapons
RPG elements (weight mechanic, etc.)
Some kind of gang war system, even if we can’t directly manipulate it. I’d like to see Cuban and Haitian gang wars going on.
Dating, gambling, etc. (obviously with Jason and Lucia being in a relationship I'd imagine dates will be a thing and I hope there is a relationship meter with most NPCs. At least the inner circle ones)
School trials and tests for different vehicle types
Courier/delivery runs (like the semi-truck runs)
Burglaries or just more mechanics around theft
GTA IV (and DLCs)
Weightier vehicle mechanics (not quite as much, but more than V)
Better NPC reactions to being shot, punched, etc.
Friend activities (this makes a lot of the game side activities more engaging and enjoyable. Plus there were a ton of things to do from comedy shows/cabarets to bars, restaurants, bowling, pool, darts, and more)
Clubhouse style games from Lost and Damned
Drug wars (Ballad of GT)
Clubbing and club management activities
GTA V
In depth heist set ups (but more variety than just heists, such as a focus on smaller jobs)
Underwater exploration (this is kind of confirmed already)
Sports
A good number of things I would want from GTA V are already mentioned above in previous titles, so I won’t list them again
Overall I think it’s highly likely most if not all of this shows up in GTA VI. I’d imagine they will bring as many things forward as they can and expand on them where possible. Some of this stuff was even mentioned in the leaks, but take that as you will.
If they manage to include this stuff and add some more immersive elements similar to RDR 2 (without making them too obtrusive, obviously) then I think GTA VI could be pretty incredible. Add to that the leap in graphics, NPC AI, etc. and it’s pretty exciting.
What are some mechanics, side activities, or just general details/features from prior games you would like to see implemented? Maybe even stuff from other Rockstar games as well.
