I recently became aware that I think in 2022 Maryland passed a state paid parental leave policy that will pay up to $1k per week for up to 12 weeks for qualifying workers in the state, but it’s start date has been repeatedly delayed. I read that official word as of now is starting in 2027 all workers in the state will start contributing to the funds and by 2028 people can start using it.

I am just curious if anyone has been following this more closely than me and if they have a sense that this will actually happen in the current timeline or if another delay is likely. Thanks!
