Struggling to find a good APT

Hello all,

I got a new job and my current lease ends next week, so I am basically scrambling to find an apartment. I toured four apartments today and was really happy with Farrington Midtown until I saw the reviews (car break ins, rats, unkept trash). I’d love to hear reviews from anyone that currently lives there, to know if this is still somewhere I should avoid, or are people just being complainers.

I also toured Lookout O4W (I did like this one, less bad reviews, but still some concern), Station R, and The Brady (apparently student housing, so i’m probably not interested anymore.)

I will be working downtown and would love to be able to use Marta, but I’d like to live somewhere in the city and still feel safe, comfortable (space-wise: 700-900 sqft), and around decent stores/food. I’m open to a base rent of anywhere between $1500-$1800~ (within reason, paying $2000+ is sort of outrageous to me, i’d really like to avoid it.)

Please help me out!

TL;DR: Please recommend apartments in Atlanta city proper that are comfortable, safe, and spacious (700-900 sqft). 1 bedrooms. Budget: $1500-1800~
