my favorite thing about dexter is how well written i think most of the characters are

i love how well written a lot of the main characters & villains, and some of the guest stars are!!!

these are characters i think are the most well written, i probably am missing some but these are ones i think of right now! i appreciate and love when a character is well written, this show has a lot of well written characters. some characters i wasn’t a big fan of like laguerta but i think think is a very well written to be how she is for me to dislike her character.

who do you think is well written and do you agree with me? if i forgot anyone lmk who you think and ill tell you if i think they’re well written or not.

all of the main season villains either visited or brought in inside miami metro department except for…

travis (didn’t put in title incase spoiler)

its not an important detail but still pretty interesting. i just noticed every main season villains but travis visited the station at one point and most were on their own before they were suspects like brian, lila, miguel, arthur & i think jordan. i thought it was pretty funny since it’s such a risky place to visit for a criminal lol

and i couldn’t find a sirko photo at the station so i just used a photo of him in prison instead but he was taken in

do you think dexter cared about any of them after they died despite what they were doing? (SPOILERS)

i just randomly had this question so the three detectives on the show who went to investigate dexter being the BHB all died in the hands of someone else. technically dexter could’ve justifiably killed any of them because of his #1 rule in the code which is to not get caught

dexter literally went overseas to kill lila after she killed doakes and yes i know it’s also because of what she did to astor and cody but i remember there was like a envelope with james face on it and dexter said something about her killing an innocent man to her or something like that

when angel died, i could how how angry he was that angel got involved and got himself killed. when he killed prater, he said he wanted to forget all about prater. that was his first best friend. he always had a close relationship with angel and said he would’ve been like him if he was normal

so with laguerta, he didn’t really show anything because it was debra (the only person of the 3 who killed for him he cares about) who killed her to protect him but he knew how badly it effected debra so i think you can make the argument he did care only for deb? he saw how much of a mess it made debra and he loves debra.

i just wonder if he felt bad in some way, not that he felt regret or emotional but if he felt bad since they were doing their job. laguerta wanted to clear doakes name because she knew him and didn’t feel confident he was the BHB and batista was married to laguerta and thought dexter got her killed for knowing.

idk but id like to hear your opinions of who you think it just randomly crossed my mind.

what are some plot-holes on the show?

for me harrison being caught on the bus with hannah, moving to argentina not being heard of for almost 10 years. technically got kidnapped but angel on new blood just didn’t seem concerned that he may have been kidnapped. you’d think miami metro would be concerned for a ex co-workers son to be missing? like im sure angel and jamie would push for a search for him since they cared about the family a lot. it has always confused me but i guess its possible it could’ve happened off screen but seems highly unlikely.

but what you think?

so i keep seeing a lot of resurrection season 2 leaked photos and news almost everyday and i thought of something with quinn being back

so let’s say if quinn does die, do you think dexter would do it? because everytime a main character (doakes, laguerta & batista) have died, it was someone else doing it for him so would it be predictable if they did that a 4th time? this is ONLY assuming quinn dies though, because quinn will inevitably find out what happened and that angel died chasing dexter.

dexter has never killed any miami metro detective investigating him so what do you think? and like i said it’s a IF because i feel that they’ll probably do something different because if they don’t it’ll be an exact repeat of batista. the only way i could think of is if dexter kills him, himself rather than it being another person. it would justify his first rule of the code which is don’t get caught.

what do you think if this does happen?
or what do you think is gonna happen?

debra is my favorite character from the show apart from the main man himself and i was thinking about how debra has had a very messed up life in the series full of a lot of trauma, daddy issues, no long term romantic relationships, trust issues, being lied to and kept secrets from and literally almost murdered by her fiancé and witnessing her boyfriend get shot.

these four men specifically are the core reason for her trauma but who do you think messed her up the most? i think you can put up a strong argument for all. just something i thought about.

would love to hear everyone’s take.

correct me if i’m wrong! but i think brian has been mentioned or shown in a flashback or had a cameo on every season/spin-off.

in new blood he was never mentioned but they shown him in a flashback to “born free” which i suppose counts. although indirectly, there also was a nod to him on the season 8 finale.

hes the only deceased villain to hold this honor

like damn did the writers regret killing him off or something 😭
