Can someone suggest me my first fantasy book?
Hi, so just like the title I want someone to suggest me a high fantasy and when I say my first book, I mean my 'first' book.
Let me elaborate, I have never read a novel in my entire life, I know it's weird, funny even but it is what it is (I blame schools). now, although I have never read a book I just love fantasy shows/movies/anime so much so that at one point in my life I decided to write my own stories and while I've had a ton of ideas/plots/characters, I have never been able to finish a single story (because again literally never read a book in my
life) English is not my first language so I never could put in words what I was seeing in my mind, I have thought about giving up but I love this stuff way too much to do that...
so coming back to the topic, since I am too lazy and inexperienced about novels to finish my own stories, I have decided to start from square one, and I need help to find my first novel.
I love hobbit and lotr (only watched the movies, but don't want to start with its novels since I already know the story) so I want something with elfs and dragons maybe, something not too serious or emotional but i wouldn't mind if it's sprinkled throughout the story. I want something with adventure and good world building and characters and this is optional but something that has a few illustrations.
i wouldn't mind it being a series either just something that ticks my need for a new world and adventurous story.
