So my daughter is taking medicine for her heart daily. Every 45 days we need a refill. I just asked her pediatrician if we can refill every 40 days instead because every time we can reorder it, it's on a weekend and we can't place the order until Monday and we always run very low which causes some stress around it. She said she would ask the pharmacy.

I just got a call from a third party pharmacy "valor compounding" for 3 months refills but isn't covered by my insurance. I said that I was confused because I just asked to decrease the amount of days in order to be able to place a refill order sooner not this option.

Is it normal? I'm quite confused to be honest.
