So recently Siddharth Anand was spotted at the YRF office, and now there’s already speculation that this could be related to Dhoom 4 👀

Considering Aditya Chopra has reportedly been planning a reboot/new direction for the franchise, this actually sounds possible. Siddharth Anand already has a massive action track record with films like Pathaan, War and Fighter, so him getting involved with Dhoom wouldn’t be surprising at all.

There were also earlier rumors about Ranbir Kapoor being approached for the film, with YRF wanting a younger and stylish face to relaunch the franchise. If Siddharth Anand is actually directing or creatively involved, the scale is definitely going to be huge.

Not gonna lie, that Navya Chaturvedi post gave major “never meet your idols” vibes.

Yeah… that doesn’t sound like someone whose experience matched the public image.

The funniest part is Ranveer’s entire brand is being loud, lovable, energetic, wholesome and “best husband ever” 24/7. So one cryptic line like this instantly changes how you read everything.

Bollywood PR really works overtime because half these celebrities probably act completely different once the cameras are off.

Why do I feel like Chaand Mera Dil is trying very hard to recreate the Saiyaara formula?

From the marketing strategy itself, the similarities are impossible to ignore. First the teaser release, then multiple romantic songs, and now the trailer arriving just around 10 days before the theatrical release. Even the “minimal promotions” strategy with Ananya Panday and Lakshya barely doing interviews or overexposure feels exactly like the approach used for Saiyaara.

And after watching the Chaand Mera Dil trailer, the comparisons became even stronger. The emotional tragic-love-story setup, heartbreak scenes, soft aesthetic visuals, intense background music, and even some of the trailer moments feel heavily inspired by Saiyaara.

The difference is that Saiyaara felt natural and emotionally real. Here, everything feels too calculated and manufactured. The trailer honestly did not work for me. The acting looks weak in multiple scenes, the chemistry between Ananya Panday and Lakshya feels forced, and the storyline already looks predictable from the trailer itself.

Yes, the songs are decent and probably the strongest part of the film right now. But apart from the music, I genuinely don’t understand the hype after this trailer.

At this point, Chaand Mera Dil feels less like an original romantic drama and more like Dharma Productions trying to recreate another Saiyaara-style box office success using the same emotional marketing formula.

Maybe the full movie proves everyone wrong after release. But based on the teaser, songs, and trailer, this currently feels more like a polished template copy than a fresh love story.
