Hello- looking to rescue or purchase a tortoise. We live in Central Florida. We've been wanting a tortoise for years and were waiting for the perfect time of settling into our property and making sure we were financially comfortable. We currently have an array of animals and so having a tortoise was the last animal in our list to have.

I've been hearing all different types of recommendations and never wrote any of it down so now I'm unsure of what to get. I would much rather rescue an adult tortoise, but I am having difficulty finding a rescue in central florida.

What would you recommend for breed? I am not looking for something huge that's also going to knock down our fence to run away (our neighbors does. I think he's a sulcata). Looking for a breed that is friendly. TIA!

Hi! I'm looking for advice here. I recently posted a video about my newest animals that is almost at 6 millions views. I posted a follow up (the update to the first) that has gained 300k views. With that being said, I have had over 8k new followers. I am a female whose always had a knack for graphics, photography, animal knowledge and humor. Just never thought i could do anything meaningful being how saturated content and AI can be.

Any advice on where to go from here? My ultimate goal here is to get some sponsorships and some more income to help me get a property to continue to rescue more animals.
