Why does third wave ska seem to be full of conservatives and MAGAs?
Compared to most other ‘punk’ subgenres, third wave ska and ‘ska punk’ seems to have a lot of bands with vocal conservative and full on MAGA members. Examples include Gwen Stefani, Save Ferris, the aquabats, the interrupters, the mad caddies, Sublime (but not Rome), Smash Mouth and the mighty mighty bosstones (Dickie Barrett only). Is there a history of this that dates further back or is it unique to the third wave?
