I need some serious help!!!

I am a prefinal year student . From July there will be campus placement in my college(tier 3 ).

My skill set

basic dsa in cpp

Currently learning ml through campusx playlist(learned preprocessing till now)

Also I made 2 ml basic project(they were made with chatgpt but that created my interest in ml so I started that campusx playlist.)

Tried frontend but did not enjoy it

Could not try backend efficiently as could never complete js so did not start backend

I Know MySql

Current scenario

I need to get a summer internship (most likely in any startup)

Panics

Read everywhere that no freshers roles for ml interns. Everyone says switch to sde

If ml then should know end to end pipeline by which i understand I should know backend and make a proper project.

My current plan

Try to complete as much as I can through campusx playlist.

Make a complete project of ml which includes backend (in python)and learn dsa to moderate level.

Please help me out.i know i messed up for 3 years but this time I am serious.

I’m preparing for ML roles with about 3 months left, but since I’m from a Tier-3 college, most placement roles are SDE-based, so I’m a bit confused about the right focus.

How much backend knowledge is typically expected for ML roles at a fresher level?

I am very scared like i just could not understand if I am on right direction or not . how much ml with backend I should know. along with what level of project.
