Hi neighbors, I want to share a disturbing experience I had this week at Relaxing Spa on Sterling and Washington ensure everyone stays safe. (There is another massage spa on Washington a bit up from Sterling—it is not that place. This is the one ON Sterling).
I had visited once before a few weeks ago for a back massage and had a professional experience, so I returned this week for a 30-minute foot massage to help with soreness following an ankle surgery. Unfortunately, while I was mid-massage and under the influence of post-op pain medication, a man entered the room. It was unclear to me who he was, but my best guess is that he is the landlord or owner of the space.
While the female therapist continued on one foot, this man began massaging my other leg in a highly inappropriate and seductive manner. He made several suggestive comments, winked and blew kisses at me, and repeatedly tried to move his hands further up my leg while asking me if I “want more” and saying I should get a full-body massage.
I was too loopy from my medication to safely advocate for myself or leave immediately, but I am currently in the process of filing a formal report with the local precinct. Please be extremely cautious or avoid this establishment entirely.
