I want to have a really good video recording setup. I’ve started to research and I’m thinking I could either invest in a nice video camera or invest in a nice gimbal and mic for my iPhone. Interested in people’s opinions on what might be best. Whatever the solution is I’d like it to be pretty portable. If there’s better solutions I’m open to all paths!

I fully realize just using my iPhone to record will be fine, but I want to take it a step further both to suite my tinkering/hobbyist side and so we have really nice videos of our child since I treasure watching my own families home movies.
