Unsure of the future
The last couple of weeks, haven’t been difficult at FedEx but they have been rather frustrating. I’m starting to dislike more people at my station. I haven’t gotten much hours lately which irks me considering I just moved into a new apartment. The job itself is super simple but the company has really made it more difficult by really clamping down on “the little things.”
When it comes to work ethic, I take full advantage of mine whenever I can since my work ethic happens to be a lot stronger than others. I blow through routes like they’re nothing averaging 20+ stops an hour and they still won’t give me hours. I have also requested to go home after being given less than 20 stops because there is no work. What’s even crazier is that they’ll tell me there’s more work after they said I’m free to leave for the day. Another thing that bugs me is that I’m ALWAYS rescuing the same people every day but yet somehow they have more hours than me.
The lack of communication and organization has also become very transparent and it has really frustrated me. People at my job have also just disrespected me especially those who aren’t even managers. I unload packages on the offload quickly and I come to work on time.
What more does this company want from me? I have tried to apply at ups or usps but neither are hiring. With that being said, I am in the process of obtaining my bachelors degree and potentially masters degree so I obviously don’t plan to be at this job for 30+ years. Thankfully I work for express so I have it much better than ground. What do you guys think? Just needed to vent, calling for a friend here.
