So I Just Got a New Baby From Walmart
I know, I know. It was an impulse buy.
So I had a VFT before and it did beautifully with Sphagnum moss and distilled or rainwater (sitting in a puddle most of the year, just moist for winter). It outgrew several pots and was just gorgeous. Until someone stole it 😢.
I was in the garden section today and I spotted these and thought what the heck. It's $10. Let's see how it does. It was in a little plastic holder so I couldn't see the substrate.
I got it home and repotted it because it was outgrowing the tiny pot they had it in, and it's in *dirt.* I added Sphagnum moss to the new pot and kind of stuck my new baby in the middle, dirt and all, because tbh it looks like it's doing pretty well with it.
So is there some kind of dirt that's okay for them? Should I leave it be or remove it and add more moss?
I really missed my Audrey (I know, so original lol) and I want this one to do well. So if anyone knows what Walmart could have put in there and what I should do, thanks in advance!
