If you are into IPv6 and haven't heard of u/apalrd, go check out his YouTube channel and website. In this video, he breaks down the recent (unserious) IPv8 proposal, why it wouldn't work, and explains a lot of basics. However, one aspect from the idea is addressed: forcing clients to opt-in to IPv4 instead of the opposite (what we have now). I found it really interesting.
