eBay Seller: Customer Returned Brand New Item Claiming Damage after opening
Hi all, first post in the group. I'm an eBay Top Rated Seller 100% feedback with 30 day returns, buyer pays return shipping. I sell a mix of things--physical media being one of them. Buyer bought a Brand New Steelbook from me. I have photos proving new and sealed and every angle showing perfect condition with no damage. Item is delivered and buyer opens a return for damaged item. When asked for pictures of damage they send a picture of the Steelbook, already opened, and a single micro scratch underneath the slipcover where it would not have been possible to see when new--very likely that they even caused this "damage" when removing the slipcover. It's a tiny scratch on the surface of the Steelbook. She claims her husband is a collector with ADHD and will not even put it on his shelf like this. Now my Brand New item is no longer new and has been de-valued. I've already accepted the return, but How do you proceed with a refund? Full? Partial? What's been your all's experience and outcome? Thanks
