I made a flashcard widget for my home screen so I study without thinking about it
I kept buying into the idea that I needed to sit down and do a study session with flashcards. But I'd always put it off because it felt like a chore. I'm picking up my phone 50+ times a day and just staring at my wallpaper though..
So I built a tool for myself called Glimpse that puts flashcards and quizzes directly on the home screen as a widget. You can schedule different content for morning, afternoon, and evening. Every time you unlock your phone, there's a card waiting. Tap to flip it, swipe to move on. You don't have to open anything unless you want to.
You can make your own decks on your phone or on the web, import from other tools, or upload your notes as a PDF and have it generate cards for you. If you already have study material somewhere, you don't have to start over. It also does todo lists and countdowns on the widget if you want to track assignments or exam dates without opening anything else.
