Who will decide whether dog is dangerous or not?
This is Bhuri. In the park she plays happily, children also play around her, and neither Bhuri nor the children have any problem with each other. 🐶❤️👧👦
But this same Bhuri sometimes barks or even tries to scare suspicious people — like drunk people roaming at midnight. Some old people also chase or hit her just because they don’t like dogs. So how should a dog react in such situations?
A dog protecting its area, reacting in fear, or barking at suspicious behaviour does not always mean the dog is “aggressive.”
If a dog was truly aggressive, would children be able to play peacefully around her every day?
Before labeling every street dog as dangerous, people should also look at human behaviour towards them. Many community dogs react because of fear, trauma, teasing, or being chased.
Aggression cannot be decided by one bark, one video, or one incident. Real understanding comes from observing the dog’s overall behaviour, environment, and how humans treat them too. 🐾
