Update on my son's kimchi... It's delicious!

The bright pink colour is gone, it's been fermenting in the fridge for 2 weeks, so it was finally time to try it. After another day in the garden the kids wanted ramyun, so I made some with our kimchi, octopus, tofu and sausages. There were no leftovers. I'm also very happy that I cut the leaves into much smaller pieces this time, as my son doesn't like to bite into big pieces of kimchi, so now I don't have to mince it while cooking.

I took aniteez to the Semperoper 🎶

I live in a K-pop desert, but was able to visit all the K-pop shops in Berlin (3) and bought this. They didn't have much Ateez merch, but I found a stand with aniteez keychains. As I was standing there trying to remember who my bias was and feeling the increasing pressure of a mother deciding who her favourite child is, I realised I could never. I am ot8...

Where does ramyun ends and budae jjigae begins?

So did I make ramyun or budae jjigae? It's instant ramyun with quite a lot of kimchi, tofu, sausage, scallions and octopuses. Eaten with rice and gim.

My 6yo son's first batch of kimchi

He harvested the radishes in our garden himself, I did the big knife cutting, he used electric grater and also patiently mixed the rice porridge for 10 minutes.

Mandu meal prep

Yesterday I made 124 mandus for the kids. The round ones are filled with minced meat, tofu, bacon, carrots, zucchini, scallions and black bean paste. The others are filled with minced meat, tofu and white kimchi.

It's a spelt flour pizza with sesame seeds in the dough, caramelized kimchi with butter, cooked octopus marinated in a little bit of sesame oil, mirin and soy sauce and of course cheese. I was also in a mood for some uncooked kimchi taste, so I mixed some with mayo, sesame oil and soy sauce. Best pizza I had in a while
