Rocsi!
Hi All!
This is Rocsi, our 10 week old wheaten that came home last weekend. Although we’ve fostered many many dogs in the past couple of years to prepare for having our own, the fosters have usually been older and out of this snapping turtle phase. We love her, though!
Any good commands my 8 and 5 year old can teach her to redirect from biting tiny ankles and thighs? They’ve tried standing still and turning away, but she thinks it’s just playtime in a different direction. They’ve also tried redirecting with toys, but she’s more interested in the kid chomping game. We have endless shapes and textures of toys to offer, but they only keep her attention for a short time.
She’s tethered to me most of the time when she’s not crated, but gets a few minutes of supervised freedom in the backyard throughout the day. We are working on sit, leash and house training, as well as grooming handling. Anything else I’m missing right now?
We’ll have more questions. TY ❤️
