Line Cal - You can sync a calendar from another app or just use it immediately (with or without signing up). It also serves as a Notes App and a Kanban Board, which integrates your notes and tasks directly onto the timeline.

It's off to a decent start since it's been released. I've been iterating fast (verson 1.11.1-beta just released), and fixing bugs along the way. I would love for you to test it yourselves, and let me know what you find!

It feels amazing. I just launched Line Cal - a calendar, notes, & task-board app on 4/18. I've been heads down responding to user/visitor feedback and getting the word out about it since then, and after 24 organic sign ups, I finally landed my first paid annual subscriber!

I'll continue to deliver updates and features to make this the best possible app that it can be, but this makes me feel like my hard work over the last year was meaningful.

Just wanted to share this milestone! Hopefully, one of many 🙏

I took this screenshot as soon as I could after the user paid for their subscription, but I held off on posting because they left some significant feedback that I had to spend a decent amount of time addressing. Thanks to them, the app is now even better and more polished.

But I value(d) feedback from free users and testers just as much, and it's thanks them that the app was even in a state where one would feel enticed to pay in the first place - so to other builders yet to get their first customer, value every user as if they are a customer. Those who invest time and/or money in our product do so because they actually care about its usefulness to them.

People were incredibly confused about what my app did and said it was too complicated. Turns out it wasn't what I was presenting, but how I was presenting it. Good UI/UIX can make a world of a difference.

Hey y'all, I just launched my first complete project called Line Cal. It helps you see your week as a timeline instead of boxes as a visually linear and interactive web calendar designed for high-performance event management that features notes support and a Kanban board to help you track your event/task progress. It's much more intuitive and manageable (inspired by the Montessori method) than traditional calendars such as Google Calendar, Outlook, and Apple Calendar, but you don't have to abandon those apps, as you can sync your calendars from them into Line Cal's linear format. Try it out at https://www.LineCal.com .

The app that you live in and spend the most time in because it meets all (or most) of your productivity needs?

Is there even one app? (Do you have your go-to?)

Or are you equally split between multiple apps because one app can't meet those needs?

Give your suggestions to someone who uses paper and pencil for their productivity workflow.

Does anyone put their entire life into a digital planner? Does it matter to you whether it's cloud-based or not? Do you use the same planner for your personal life as you do for work?

What works best for you?

Drop your experiences and suggestions to someone who has used physical planners personally.

You want activity and reactions.

You get silence and indifference.

Unlike building, where you can see the product of your efforts almost instantly, promotion only reveals that something you're doing isn't resonating.

It could be your hook, angle, or the product itself.

Has this been your experience?

Without breaking the bank, what has helped you to get you pass the hump of receiving traffic?

Web app in question: Line Cal

I went from confusion -> compliments after making updates to my web app.

What is the bottleneck to help me get from compliments -> conversions (sign ups, subscriptions)?

It seems like a distribution problem, rather than a product one, but I'm unsure. Is it time to break out the paid ad budget?

Thanks in advance.

More features, redesigns, and inspiration keep me excited about my app. I can't help but continue to share it!

- Slip-tracking (automatically placing neglected events/tasks being procrastinated on into the backlog)? ✅
- Private items (locking your events and notes with a password to encrypt your super secure content)? ✅
- Sleek redesign (no more page clutter)? ✅

Check out Line Cal to share in the excitement!

Digital calendars don't have the same limitations as physical calendars, which is why traditional calendars make more sense as physical calendars, as they're more space-efficient, but linear calendars make more sense as digital calendars, as they're more visually intuitive and navigable.

What do you think?

As opposed to Traditional (grid-based) Calendars, which make more sense as physical calendars as they're more space efficient, digital calendars don't have the same limitations.

I'd personally argue that they're a better category in general for online calendars. What do you think?
