One of my closest friends passed away from cancer.
He was only 24. In the last few years prior to him passing, I was struggling mentally and abusing drugs heavily to cope. I stopped interacting with almost all my close friends and family. I regret it more than anything. He didn’t tell me about his diagnosis, and I genuinely don’t blame him. However, I can’t help but feel angry about it. He deserved so much better. He was genuinely the type of person that’d give you the shirt off his back, who’d drive hours away no matter how long just to keep you company, who wouldn’t even hurt a fly. He was so gentle, compassionate, charming, intelligent, creative, talented, funny, I could go on. The memories we shared are my most cherished. All the music we cried to, all the stupid jokes we laughed to, all the weed we smoked lmfaoooo. It took some insane digging to find where his grave was located but thank the Gods, I found you. I miss you. Please, if anyone can, I would just like to know if he is at peace.. Thank you.
