Not abandoned car reported abandoned? What do
Hello neighbors. Does anyone know what process (if any) metro uses to determine if a vehicle is actually abandoned?
I have housemates who hog the driveway so I usually park my (registered, insured, fully drivable, legally parked) car across the street from my house. But today I came outside to metro putting an orange tag on my car, literally as I was about to get into my allegedly abandoned vehicle and drive to the store. What gives?? I’m a creature of habit so I do typically park in the same general spot, but my car moves often, and street parking isn’t sparse at all on this street. I work nightlife hours/weekends so I’m often parked there during the day and gone at night, but this is the last place I would expect anyone to think twice about that. I called the nonemergency line to let them know my car isn’t abandoned and the dispatcher said nothing had been submitted but this just happened like an hour ago. I moved my car but I’m scared that next time I park across the street from my home I’m going to be towed or cited. Has anything like this happened to anyone else? I’m kind of baffled
