What are your thoughts on this
i swear trying to research robot vacuums feels like stepping into some weird loop where everyone is saying the same 3 brands over and over again like it’s gospel
like on reddit you got people acting like they just “randomly” found this perfect vacuum but their whole post history is just pushing that same brand… and then 20 comments under it all agreeing a little too perfectly lol
and youtube isn’t much better anymore. every video is like “honest review” but also here’s my affiliate link, here’s a discount code, here’s a top 5 ranking… at some point it stops being a review and starts feeling like a really well made commercial
even the more “trusted” channels like vacuum wars, i don’t think they’re fake or anything, but the way they test stuff kinda favors whatever looks good on paper and in short demos. like cool it avoided a sock and mopped a tile floor for 5 minutes but what happens after 6 months when the app bugs out or the parts wear down
it just feels like everything is optimized to sell not to actually help you live with the thing
so now i’m at the point where i trust random people complaining after 3 months more than polished reviews on day 1
idk maybe i’m bugging but it really feels like this whole space is turning into one big ad and we’re all just trying to figure out what’s actually real. not to mention the second you get a vac the new ones already been made and sure you could say this about all tech but the price of these products has gone up. like with the narwal flow 1, people kept talking about the weird navigation and how it acted off on certain floors, then the newer one comes out and now all of a sudden it moves better and seems way more dialed in but its like what happened to over the air updates
