Do they effect your periods?
I couldn't think of a better title.
I am a 30 year old female in the UK and have been suffering from thrombosed hemorrhoids all week. It has been pretty bad but I've been doing baths, ointments and generally it seemed to be getting better. Its been bleeding lightly all week, hasnt really seemed to stop at any point but it hasnt been a concerning amount.
Anyway, just now I was stood making dinner and felt this sudden hot gush, I ran up to the toilet and it appears my period has started. Except it was an insane amount of blood. In the time it took me to go upstairs it had soaked through my jeans and was dripping into the toilet bowl like I was peeing. This has NEVER happened to me before.
I now have a tampon in and normally wouldn't feel it at all, but it feels incredibly uncomfortable.
I cannot help notice the timing of my first hemorrhoid (and a thrombosed one at that) and this weird coming on experience.
Could the two be related? I felt my hemorrhoid afterwards and it was still there and still hard so I dont think it burst. The blood definitely came from the front too.
I am feeling rather anxious about it all!
