Got tired of not being able to show my Deck gameplay on my laptop/TV/phone without janky setups. So I built DeckCast, a Decky Loader plugin that casts your screen to any browser on your local network.

One tap in Decky → URL shows up → open it on any device → 60fps live stream.

Features:

- 📺 60fps live screen casting to any browser

- 📲 Wi-Fi file transfer (any size, QR code)

- 🎬 YouTube upload from Gaming Mode

- ✂️ Instant clip trimming (no re-encoding)

- 📡 RTMP streaming to YouTube/Twitch

It uses gpu-screen-recorder under the hood for hardware capture, so basically zero performance impact.

Here's a trick for anyone who wants to watch their Deck gameplay on a bigger screen or share it with someone in the room.

DeckCast is a free Decky plugin that turns your Deck into a casting device:

  1. Install the plugin (download zip from GitHub, extract to ~/homebrew/plugins/)

  2. In Gaming Mode, open Decky → DeckCast → Start Casting

  3. A URL appears (like http://192.168.1.231:8420/cast)

  4. Open that URL on ANY device's browser — phone, laptop, TV, iPad

  5. Your Deck screen streams live at 60fps

No extra apps needed on the receiving device. Works on any browser that supports HLS.

It also does Wi-Fi file transfer, YouTube uploads, clip trimming, and Twitch streaming.
