Are Cockers prone to skin issues?

We adopted this chocolate cutie from a local rescue group. Reading up on them and lots of people mention they are prone to skin issues? Has that been anyone's experience with their Cockers? I'm concerned about that scab on the side of his nose.

He is about 1yr old - we've only had him a few days but he is my shadow and very chill. TIA!

Starting HRT at 68yrs young

I just turned 68yrs, and have (for years), been trying to get my ob/gyn to start me on HRT. At first, she was reluctant due to the flawed study from 2002 and just prescribed an anti-depressant (really?!?). Switched ob/gyn and ... same problem. I am now 9yrs post menopausal and finally found an online provider willing to listen.

When young, I did suffer from POCS - except I didn't know what it was at the time! I am very healthy - heart in good shape, blood pressure good, just elevated A1C (diabetic).

They review all my lab worked and I started in Feb with the estradiol patch, vaginal cream, and progesterone tablets. Earlier this month switched to a slightly higher dose patch (0.375ml). Also started inserting the progesterone pill vaginally (what a pain that is!) but taking it orally made me very sluggish and tired in the mornings.

My facial skin did go thru what I called a "3rd degree burn" stage where it was bright red and itchy for many days. So I stopped using my tretinoin cream and did tons of aloe vera and soothing masks. Now that it's over - I have to say, my skin looks fabulous! I've lost some belly fat, too!

What estradiol has really helped me with -- I no longer have dry sinus (and those nasty sinus headaches), dry eyes nor dry mouth. The jury is still out on all the other stuff but it's only been 3 months!
