Are there similar cases in your colleges wherein a person got in using his/her connection? For one, I don’t think this specific “Frat” have that kind of power considering na anti-frat current admin ng UP Law. Strict si GDV this year hence the need for an interview stage for all applicants. Of course I’m not saying that it’s not possible but you need to be HIGHLY CONNECTED in the first place, and you joining the “Frat” for the sake of getting inside law school isn’t really telling that you have one. Besides, you’re doing UP dirty by subscribing to this offer. Ang baba naman ng moralidad mo na you’ll play unfairly when others who are coveting the same thing are putting their best effort.

Any similar experience? Or may kilala ba kayo na nakapasok using their “connection”? What happened to them?

TLDR: A greek org in UP promising a slot to applicants if they join and become a Brod lolz

Let’s all agree that the idea of an organization isn’t a bad thing. Sobrang daming lessons na you can get from a decent org. Pero let’s all agree that “frats” is not just a simple org. It’s a cult.

And if you’ll say that it is the right of all citizens to freely organize, and that the same logic applies to frat, then think twice. When those same fraternities you’re defending are the roots of all the bad things in UP. Starting from the admin, Jijil, himself a proud APB member, the current chancellor of Diliman, Vistan, a member of Lonsi. And don’t get me started with SR. By far. the worst thing that happened to UP—just look at Enrile, a proud member of SR lol

Throughout the years they have gathered boys and has perpetuated sexism, misogyny, racism, homophobia, islamophobia, violence, HAZING, in their ranks, and hiding themselves from accountability using an ass of a concept that is “brotherhood”

That is why it is insane to me to see a post that is asking advice whether to join one for a petty reason. If you’re looking for free admission in UP then you don’t deserve being here in the first place. I know a lot of to-be-lawyers from those waitlisted deserve it more than you do. And really,, sa SR pa out of all of the bunch?

No matter how much they try to sanitize their image by invoking the names of their prominent alumni, they cannot erase the stain of blood and tears left by those they have oppressed and the families of those who have died because of their violence.

So to all the freshies, I want you to know na there’s a reason why we need to #AbolishFrats
