Wireless CarPlay/Android adapters that actually work? 2016 Turbo
The market is _littered_ with adapters that claim to let you add wireless CarPlay/Android Auto to your stereo (if it already supports it, mine does and I use it wired) but a lot of these units are total shit. They range from $20 to $100+ and so far the Otto ones I've tried don't behave well at all. I can set up CarPlay on it but the dash just says "reading USB.." then stops, then tries again. Their support suggested a USB power inserter Y cable which I guess gives the adapter itself a little boost but my head unit does not care, same behavior.
Has anyone in the last year or two found one of these that are semi tolerable? I am getting tired of returning stuff. The last post about this a year or two ago just mentioned the USB dongles but no one said if they'd had luck with a particular brand.
