I acquired a piece of blue-green jade, but fearing that excessive carving would ruin its beauty, I designed a shallow carving of a Guanyin in simple robes. I thought it would be well-received, but instead, everyone criticized it for wasting the material. My heart is broken.

Who could resist such a blue-water Guanyin statue, seemingly radiating Buddha's aura!
The actual piece is even more stunning than in photos. The high-ice jadeite texture is so smooth and translucent it's almost gelatinous, like solidified cream. It shimmers beautifully in the light, with the Guanyin's image subtly hidden within the icy blue, exuding a profound sense of Zen.
