Advice for first time at Nurburgring
Looking to get some advice on what car to rent for an upcoming trip to the Nurburgring. I currently drive an E92 M3, used to have a 718 Cayman S, 992 911, and have driven my fair share of exotics (458, Gallardo, 750S), but never on a track. Only track time is a fair amount of hours on Assetto Corsa and Forza. Obviously driving the Nurburgring has been a bucket list item since I was a kid playing Forza.
I'm looking at Ringfreaks, and am stuck between a F30 328i, GTI Clubsport, and a 718 Cayman GTS (2.5L). My heart says to take the Porsche, but as a complete noob it'll be too much... right? Before my M3, the Cayman was probably my favorite car I've had, but I know I won't be able to push a GTS as hard as it can be pushed. Hell, I probably can't push any of them as hard as they can be pushed.
What do I pick?
