Black Mirror has now invaded my dreams
Last night I had a dream, essentially a nightmare, that was completely in a Black Mirror format.
The first half of the dream myself and several others were held captive. We were put through various strenuous types of trainings. It was essentially a strange kind of torture. If we weren’t performing well enough then we were punished. It was very stylistic with surroundings and clothings. Think if ‘Nosedive‘ episode made tracksuits.
When the training was over, there was a test. For some it was physical and for others mental.
After everyone successfully achieved the outcome, a wall on the side of the room lifted. Showing us that there was a captive audience.
To our horror it was revealed that the captive audience was our actual selves! Myself and the others were ‘cookies’. Stuck in a program.
The reveal of the episode was a company that was using ‘cookies‘ to showcase to prospective customers that they can lose weight with them. The evidence being that the copy of their mind was able to achieve those results.
A total scam since the company wasn’t actually going to torment the customers like they did their cookies. A good enough marketing strategy that people were going to pay.
