Had this thing forever. Finally grabbed it to put a new handle. After brushing off some rust, saw it was a true temper kelly perfect. Didn't realize what I had all these years lol anyone help on the year? Beat ive found is post 1949... Also, how clean should I make it? Its def got pitting in places so a mirror finish doesnt make sense. I would have never thought about a mirror finish until I read folks talking about it. Plan on using it so doesnt make sense. Never even seen a "chrome" axe head lol Should I just leave it where its at and put an edge on it? I havent looked up edge angles but figured 20 and 30... Was also thinking for the new handle doing a slight wood burn before oiling it...

Did a little to make it less stock.
