Recommendation

Hope this is the right place.

Pro handyman here. I really do smart home and camera installation, but a neighbor is in a pinch and I’m trying to help.

I’m looking for a WiFi camera with a spotlight to mount outside their garage. I’m aware there are a plethora of options and review sites with recommendations, but there’s a catch: it must be able to connect to 5GHz WiFi without any modem/router configuration changes. We’ve tried two different ones and each rides the 2.4GHz band by default and won’t connect to their 5GHz WiFi.

They have an eero mesh network. They are NOT able to disable the 5GHz band in order for a camera to connect. Nor are they able to create a secondary SSID (guest network) on the 2.4 band. It’s peculiar.

TIA

Estimating Labor Time

Hi folks -- Pro handyman here, and I normally eschew asking for help with estimates, but I'm scratching my head and could use some help.

Could you please share some advise on estimating labor time to install a fence?

Specifically, how would you advise I estimate the time needed for installing rails and attaching pickets? For instance, I'm looking for something like "once the stringers are up, pickets usually take me about 15 minutes per section."

I have three clients asking for quotes for replacing wood privacy fences. I've done plenty of new, repair, and replace jobs but all on smaller sections and with obstacles to account for. I'm comfortable with everything but figuring out my labor estimate.

For context, posts will be 4x4 PT and set in concrete footers. Stringers are 8' and 3 per section. Pickets are 6' x 5-1/2 dogear with no spacing.

TIA
