Hey,

I’ve been dealing with snoring for a while now, and it’s honestly becoming more of a “relationship problem” than just a sleep issue 😅
My partner wakes up constantly because of it, and I feel bad because I’m not even aware it’s happening.

I tried the usual stuf, different pillows, sleeping positions, even looked into CPAP, but that felt like overkill (and uncomfortable, not gonna lie).

Recently I started experimenting with a small workaround using my phone + watch, basically detecting snoring and giving a subtle nudge so I shift position without fully waking up. Surprisingly, it kinda helps in some cases.

Now I’m curious, has anyone here found something that actually works long-term?
Not looking for medical advice, just real life experiences.

Hey,

A small iOS app focused on snoring during sleep.

It listens for snoring using the iPhone microphone and sends a gentle Apple Watch tap to encourage a position change without fully waking you up.

Nothing medical, just a lightweight sleep aid for everyday use.

Curious how it lands with people here who use sleep or Apple Watch apps. Would this be something you’d be willing to use?

I’ve been dealing with sleep apnea for a while, and honestly one of the worst parts wasn’t even me waking up tired, it was my girlfriend not being able to sleep next to me because of the snoring.

I tried using a CPAP for some time, but I just couldn’t get used to it…felt uncomfortable and I’d end up taking it off during the night.

So as a bit of a side project (I’m a software engineer), I built a simple app that listens for snoring and sends a gentle nudge to my Apple Watch to get me to change position. Nothing fancy, just trying to reduce the noise enough so my partner can actually sleep.

It’s been helping a bit so far, not a perfect solution, but definitely 50% less snoring than before.

I’ll drop the link here in case anyone’s curious: Link to the app

Also, I’d genuinely love to hear, have any of you found apps, cheap gadgets, or anything else that actually helped with snoring or sleep apnea (besides CPAP)? I’m still experimenting and open to ideas.

Hey folks,

Quick sanity check + looking for ideas.

My girlfriend kept complaining that I snore and wake her up, so instead of arguing about it every night, I built a small app 😅 It actually works surprisingly well for me so far, but I’m sure there’s a ton of stuff I’m not seeing.

The idea is pretty simple:

  • iPhone listens for snoring (Core ML, works in the background)
  • when it detects it, Apple Watch gives a gentle tap
  • just enough to make you shift position, without fully waking up

I’d really appreciate some honest feedback 🤔
