Talk me off a ledge - Wedding Date Decision
Hi there! I am getting married in Cape May and deciding between two days: 10/16/2027 and 9/11/2027. Would love your guys input:
Here’s my Pro’s/Con’s list:
9/11/2027:
- Warmer (but could be hot)
- Chance of guests being able going to the beach if weather works (most guests coming from grooms side from virginia - they are very excited!)
- More lively in town (also could be a con)
- More sunlight for ceremony, cocktail hour, sunsetting at start of reception
- biggest con: Hotels more expensive for guests (don’t wanna be an asshole) (but also some of my guests have made me pay a dumb amount for hotels but still - i am a guilty guy)
10/16/2027:
- Cheaper for guests to stay (but could not be as lively) (no potential beach weekend for guests)
- Sun sets at 6:20, ceremony right at 5, cocktail hour will be sunset then dark, could potentially be rushed for pictures
- Cold once sun sets
- Missing good college football (sorry not sorry)
