I Think The Wife Is A Natural Painter
Wife's first paint job. I think her work is far superior to mine and its only her first. I watched tons of videos and tutorials, she watched and read zero.

Second go around with white. Figured I had done a few minis now so maybe I can give white another spin. Nope. Thinned to right consistency: watery white-ish streaks all over the model. Slightly thicker? Globby and fills in details. Oh, and still has primer showing through it. A couple coats in and im ready to throw the Grasshopper into the Dip Of Shame, which sucks because I am satisfied with the Blue.
Help me out painting wizards, I cant avoid white hues forever.
Inspired by Warrior House Hiritsu scheme. This time I tried edge highlights, but my hands are unskilled so I probably will have to go fix it. Still a long way to go but I think it came out nicer than my freshman attempt (see: The Wash Was A Mistake).
Appreciate all the tips I got; the wash came out a lot less messy because of it.

Last post I shared how I made some bone head mistakes on my first miniatures by slathering on the wash.
Archer: became a lost cause. Paint was getting too thick so I stripped it off with 99% IPA then gave it a 30 minute bath in Simple Green Aircraft in a sonic cleaner to get all the paint off. Instead of white I switched to Army Painter's Skeleton Bone. I think it came out a bit better and I have only used thinned down wash in selective areas. Still some touch up to do.
Warhammer: Did some drybrushing then panel cleanup with the brush. Still some clean up left but its looking much brighter and I got most of the muddyness off.
Wanted to thank everyone for their tips, tricks, and corrections. Ya'll helped me not give up and gave me the confidence to go back to the drawing board and keep working at improving. I am still leery of wash lol. Once bitten twice shy.
First miniature painting. Tried simple colors and things were going decent, until it came to do the wash. Used Army Painter Strong Tone and it made the minis muddy, especially the 'Comguard' themed Archer. Trying to dry brush to restore the edges before I go back over the panels but the paint just isnt really sticking well on the edges and is muddying the black panels.
Really considering putting these in the Isopropyl Alcohol Dip of Shame. Apologies on the photo quality, I cant take em for crap either.
