My husband and I just bought a new build $350k house. We make about $140k combined. We are putting $45k for down payment. We are both almost 40 years old, no kids, but possibly planning for one child at the most. We have about $50k in savings left after the downpayment and closing costs. My husband is paying off credit card bills and student loans. Are we completely screwed?
