How do you guys study for courses that are memorization based and all other courses too cuz like I am honestly having a really hard time eith my study methods and would love some ideas/recommendations

Do u guys suggest i retake a course if I got a bad grade in it like I rlly wanna get into med skl but 1st year was really hard for me since I took too much time adjusting and then a big family emergency came. My gpa isn't good either as of now but I really wanna do well moving on. Do u guys think I should retake course or what and im really confused moving forward what POST programs I should apply to. Am I just really dumb cuz I see everyone else getting such better marks and it makes me feel like I dont know anything and I really dont belong at this university

I just got my bio130 grade back and totally messed up. This whole semester has been rough with a family emergency, and now my GPA is shot. Is there any way to recover from this, especially since I wanted to get into the neuroscience program but my grade was below 70, so is there really no hope left for me anymore?
