Pitching mechanics-glove side
Son (13U) has pitching motion where he leaves the glove arm just hanging as he finishes and never brings the glove in (and the throwing arm just runs into it at the end). So I looked at some slow motion of MLB pitchers how they look in terms of glove tuck.
Looks like Shohei and Verlander bring the glove in early so that the glove is already on the chest as the torso tilts forward. DeGrom leaves the glove hanging by the waist as he tilts forward but brings it in last second- well after the ball is gone-just in time for the throwing arm to clear under the glove-side arm.
Is this just matter of personal preference or style difference, or is there a functional difference how or when you bring the glove in? Which one is considered better (if it makes difference at all)
