MDI G vs XLRI Delhi? What to choose!

I was in the same boat last year, I took XLRI Delhi for my reasons and don't regret it!

Comparision:

Brand: XLRI. Brand is too strong; I have worked in corporate before my MBA and now in my summers too. People recognise and respect XLRI.

Alumni: XLRI has a common alumni network & meets for both campuses; here, XLRI alums are in a comparatively better position than MDI-G alums ("XL Mafia")

Placements: The lower tail in MDI suffers a bit less than at XLRI Delhi, JSR being the primary campus. Similarly, the upper tail in XLRI Delhi gets many more opportunities like MBB, Frontend IB roles (JPMC, Deutsche, DE Shaw), which mostly come for back-end roles at MDI.

Campus Location: MDI G has the upper hand; it's located next to the cyber hub. XL Delhi is in the middle of farms.

From my observations, if you have decent academics (>8/8/8) and a good brand on your CV, you will get decent opportunities in XL Delhi!

Bias in placements between JSR and Delhi: Yes, mostly from MBB and top FMCG companies ( Nestle, Colgate), the rest are hired in good numbers from both campuses. Sometimes more from Delhi too!

We saw CPM era bloodshed and dadagiri by local goons from the Sain Bari incident to the Bijon Setu Massacre.
Minor reduction in 2011 and then a gradual increase in 2016, with 2021 being back to square 1.

But 2026 almost saw no political d*aths from the winning side, although there were breaking of political offices, etc., but still far better than we have ever seen!

Not a BJP supporter, more of a BJP opposer, but glad they did this!
