Watched Kara (Por Thozil director) recently in telugu.

It's not a new story but the way it's taken is entirely different. It's a raw, edge of the seat movie from the start and a great thriller with superb BGM, writing and story telling and the father character makes it very emotional in the film.

Sad to see that the theatre isn't even filled with half the audience. It's worth watching in theatres before it's gone.
