For those who update a Tricaster and experience issues with RTMP streaming after

Hey all, made a post about this on the Tricaster User Group on Facebook but wanted to share it here as well for those who don't have a FB account; normally when updating the Tricaster software, usual recommendation shared by Newtek/Vizrt in the past is to also use the Nvidia driver released just before the Tricaster update was published...

But there's an issue with Nvidia drivers 590 and up that seems to break GPU encoding with old versions of FFMPEG and whatnot and it affects older versions of VMIX as well: https://sd19.vmix.com/knowledgebase/article.aspx/381/hardware-encoder-not-available-or-in-use-error-in-nvidia-drivers-590-or-higher

It causes the stream button in a tricaster session to be blue but have the timecode inside the button (tells you how long you've been streaming) stuck at 00;00 and there are no error logs in the notification window in the top right to tell you that this is an Nvidia GPU related issue when this happens.

after making the post, Kane Peterson (a vizrt employee) responded pretty quickly suggesting to use Nvidia driver 581.42 instead, so I gave that a shot and can confirm RTMP streaming works again when used in combination with 8-5-260302 on a TC-410 Plus!

A few others then responded saying they had the same issue and that fixed it for them, so I figured I'd spread the word to folks here as well, and also because Google tends to show reddit results first these days

Hopes this helps! let me know if you have any questions!
